HOW TO STYLE | Wraps, Blankets and Capes.

The blanket wrap/cape has become really popular this year I don't think there is high street shop that doesn't have one :) Click here to see my post on my selection of the most affordable ones out there.
So I wore this outfit ages ago (when the weather was milder) and really liked it so I thought I'd put it on again and get some good photos taken it!

Here are some of the pictures I took with my personal photographer (Jokes! I am just fortunate to have a friend who's a photographer lol) of how I styled my wrap. You can find the links in bold under the final picture.

| Hat-H&M | Shirt-UNIQLO | Cape-ASOS | Gloves-PRIMARK | Bag-ZARA | Boots-H&M |

I bought this wrap about 3 years ago from Asos but I was too scared to wear it because I didn't know what to wear with it lol...few years later its now in style #winning!
However I have found a few wraps in the same style/design as mine and one of them is freakishly identical see if you can spot it. Underneath the image is a list of where to get the five wraps!
  1. Parisian Red Aztec
  2. Aztec By Wal G
  3. Burgundy Aztec
  4. Navy Aztec Trim
  5. Parisian Grey Aztec
Happy Shopping :D, Shakk xx

REVIEW | You Beauty Discovery Box December 2014

Recently I subscribed to the You Beauty Discovery Box as I wanted an affordable way to test out some beauty products. Out of all the boxes in the UK I read up about, this was the best option for me for a few reasons;
  1. The price - it's only £6.95 (p&p included)
  2. Cheapest beauty box out there with a good selection of brands
  3. You get to choose 2 products from their shortlist
  4. You also get some extra treats in your box.
This post is going to be a review of the items I chose to be in my December box.
25% off first purchase using YOU25 until 28th Feb 2015
  • Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash (link in title)
I absolutely love this face wash and plan on continuing to use and here are some reasons why. It's soap free so doesn't strip the skin of its natural oils (perfect for those with oily skin as that actually makes it worse). It's pH balanced so it doesn't interfere with the way your skin is naturally and can help balance it out. This has done wonders for my skin! It's less oily, softer and clearer.
  • Amie Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturiser (link in title)
This product I too love and will continue to use (trust me I am not being paid for this lol) it is perfectly paired with the face wash. After washing my face, I applied a small amount of the moisturiser, it left my skin feeling even softer and it didn't add any extra oil to my skin like most moisturisers can do. Throughout the day I noticed my skin was less oily and quite matte. For me this is a great base for my make up better than a primer in fact.
My camera wouldn't focus on the botttle :(
  • Kneipp Lavendar Herbal Oil
This oil was quite cool it pour out as it turnt my bath a bright turquoise colour but it did have a calming effect as Lavender is suppose to. There was also an added bonus that I wasn't expecting, my skin felt quite soft afterwards minus my normal bathing routine. Currently there is a 3 for 2 offer at Graftonsbeauty on all Kneipp products.
And that is it for my review! I'll have another review up in about a months time for my January box.
Thank you for reading,

Shakk :D xx

WORDS OF 2014 | The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

There are so many new words that has entered the social media sphere that have been funny and straight up annoying *insert fitting emoji*. I've put together a list of words, sayings and phrases that have been used (or in some cases overused) this year. In no particular order, READY?...LETS GO!!

  1. Bae
When I first saw this on twitter I thought it was an acronym (before anyone else) but then I soon learnt it couldn't be because of how people used it lol. This one has become annoying and overused! N.B. its the Danish word for poop
  2. Yassss
This is a enthused yes lol but its you letting someone know that they got it, that hairstyle, outfit or whatever has your seal of approval. The use of more of less "s'" it dependant on how emphatic you want it to be!
  3. Bye Felicia
This originated from the film Friday but was resurrected by Ms Kenya Moore from The Real Housewives of Atlanta in the reunion, then it went viral once again. It's used to dismiss what someone and the icing on the cake is the great likelihood that persons name is not Felicia ahaha.
  4. Boy/Gurl Bye
To me this is used to dismiss what a person says like a Yeh, K whatever.
  5. The Thirst is real
Basically meaning that you are craven, desperate used most when talking about someones want for partner or stalkerish type of tendencies. I found this one hilarious as it led to memes and vines of people giving someone water.
  6. Bruh
I am not entirely sure where this came from but I heard it in a vine and it soon was everywhere! There is even an app for the sound effect but generally used in situations you could call peak lol
  7. The struggle (is real)
Oh the struggle! This one is favourite lol it just sums everything up for anything that is difficult or hard to do. For example staying motivated at Uni, the uni struggle is real!
  8. Goals
This one I do believe has been taken too far and needs to stay in 2014! With all the memes and people having relationship goals for foolishness. I saw on twitter that someone hoped to have the goal of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick relationship, need I say more?
  9. Doe
I just don't like this one lol I can not stand when people say this out loud let alone type it.
  10. VibeThis is virtually anything! From saying that an event was good (that party was a vibe) to describing your mood(I'm just vibezin).
  11. Fleek
This one made me laugh when I first heard it as I thought it made no sense. However with a little research the word is real and was used in the 17th and 18th century to describe something smooth and sleek. To the rest of us it came from a vine lol!
  12. Giving me life
This is one saying that annoys me to the core! It's so dramatic, God brought your mother and father together to give you life, please stop this nonsense of someone's face or style "giving you life".
  13. Turn up
Basically having lots of fun, getting a bit wild.
  14. Turn down
This will no and forever more be associated with Lil Jon's song turn down for what!
  15. Motive
This one got on my nerves. Instead of asking What's happening? What's going on or What's the plan? No, its What's the motive? -__-  what is the reason for us going out is what your asking!
    Rant over :)
  16. 100 (One hunna)
I don't think words can express the rage I feel when I hear someone say this. Its normally used when a person is telling the truth, saying something "deep", co-signs on something.
So there you have it folks, my list of words of phrases that were prolific through 2014! I look forward to seeing what new words will enter our vocab in the year to come :)
If there is anything I have missed out comment below! I also leave you with this great image below that made me chuckle :D

Happy Reading,

Shakk ;) xx
